Managing Aldi Ireland's Social Media
Aldi Ireland joined Facebook in August 2012 and has grown exceptionally to become one of Ireland’s leading brands on Facebook. While managing the Aldi Ireland Facebook page, we took it from 100,000 fans to 270,000 in just 14 months. When broken down, this gives us an average of 20,000 new fans per month!
Their Facebook presence has become one of their main marketing tools and is now their no.1 source of contact with their customer. Over the last two years the page has gained huge momentum and is both the most active Irish supermarket Facebook page as well as having the highest number of engaged fans.

The Digital Team within Insight Consultants have vast experience managing all kinds of social media platforms for a wide variety of companies and brands, both on a regional and national level. As important as creative content is, if the people managing your channels do not know how to handle customer service queries efficiently then it will not work. We know how important it is to have excellent customer service as this is one of the main reasons people will interact with any brand on social media – to get an answer quickly and often, publicly.
Aldi Ireland was just one of many clients where we provided 24 hour monitoring of social pages. The page was the "go-to" place for customers to submit queries, complaints or send feedback. Each of these comments and messages had to be dealt with efficiently and in a short space of time.
