JIMMY SMYTH is Director of Public affairs at Insight Consultants. Jimmy specialises in parliamentary lobbying, planning and local government activity and community/stakeholder consultation. Jimmy has developed an extensive range of contacts at political, special adviser and cross departmental levels allied to a strong understanding of the decision making processes.

Jimmy has over 10 years experience in political consultancy and single issues campaigns based in Brussels, London and Dublin. An ex policy adviser to one of the main Irish political parties Jimmy ran the public affairs practice at Edelman PR prior to joining the team at Insight Consultants. He also previously worked at Fleishman Hillard, Dublin and GJW Government Relations in London.

Jimmy is a Dubliner and was educated at undergraduate and postgraduate levels at University College Dublin.
